Beautiful music. Invisible science.

Put on headphones. Every instrument sits in 3D space. Melodies drift. Textures sweep past your ears. Your brain locks in without you lifting a finger. Holophonic spatial audio, built on neuroscience research, applied to music you actually want to hear.

Each one built for a different brain state.

Focus

The Acoustic Cocoon

  • Driving lo-fi and electronic beats with instruments placed in 3D space around your head
  • 40Hz gamma frequencies studied at MIT's Picower Institute, hidden beneath the music
  • Micro-textures sweep through every 30–60 seconds. Your brain stays engaged without distraction

Sleep

The Sensory Sink

  • The room shrinks. Over 20 minutes, the spatial field collapses inward like a warm blanket
  • 20Hz vibrations felt in your chest, mimicking the safety of a heartbeat
  • Structured pink noise pulsed to your natural 90-minute sleep cycles. Not continuous. Continuous damages REM

Anxiety

The Vagal Hold

  • The entire track breathes 6 times per minute. The exact frequency that maximizes heart rate variability
  • Close-proximity textures placed inches from your ears trigger the ASMR response
  • Alpha-frequency entrainment guides your nervous system into parasympathetic dominance

Energy

The Neural Ramp

  • Starts dead center. Starts slow. Matches your groggy 65 BPM heart rate
  • Over 15 minutes, the tempo accelerates to 85 BPM. Your heart follows
  • The spatial field explodes from mono to massive 3D. Sunrise inside your skull

Put on headphones. Close your eyes.

30 seconds is all you need.

Headphones required for spatial audio. Speaker playback will not demonstrate the 3D effect.

Music. Space. Signal.

Every Axon track is three layers deep. Each one targets a different neural system. Together, they do something no playlist, no app, and no algorithm has done before.

🎵

The Music

Human-produced tracks across real genres. Lo-fi, cinematic, electronic. Composed and mixed by people who care about how music feels. This isn't algorithm-generated filler. It's music you'd choose to listen to even without the science.

↳ Auditory cortex · Reward system · Dopamine

🌀

The Space

Holophonic 3D scene design places every instrument around your head. Melodies drift organically. Spatial textures sweep through your field every 30–60 seconds. Your brain feels like it's inside the music, not listening to it.

↳ Spatial processing · Orienting reflex · Sustained attention

🧠

The Signal

Beneath everything, an invisible layer of neuroscience. Frequency entrainment, sub-bass resonance, vagal breath pacing, and structured noise. each calibrated to push your brain toward a specific state. You don't hear it. You feel the result.

↳ Neural oscillations · Autonomic nervous system · State change

Most "focus music" is one layer. a playlist with vibes. Axon is three layers engineered to work on three different parts of your brain at the same time.

Built on real research.
Not wellness fluff.

Every technique in Axon maps to a published, peer-reviewed paper. Every claim links to a real institution. No hand-waving.

MIT Picower Institute

40Hz gamma entrainment. Currently in Phase 3 clinical trials for neurodegeneration. We use it for sustained prefrontal cortex activation during focus sessions.

Northwestern University

Structured pink noise during slow-wave sleep improved memory performance by 20%. Our sleep tracks pulse pink noise to natural 90-minute cycles. Never continuous.

Vaschillo et al.

Baroreflex resonance at 0.1 Hz (6 breaths per minute) maximizes heart rate variability and vagal tone. Our anxiety tracks modulate at this exact frequency.

Lochte et al.

fMRI studies show ASMR activates the medial prefrontal cortex and nucleus accumbens, releasing dopamine and oxytocin. We use close-proximity spatial textures to trigger this response.

Our Posture

Cognitive audio is a legitimate and growing field backed by peer-reviewed research. We built AXON.fm directly from that evidence. Every protocol we use maps to a published paper. Every citation is live. We are not going to tell you this cures anything. What we will tell you is that the underlying science is real, the research is ongoing, and our products are built around it.

Questions people ask before they press play.

An axon is the long neural fiber that carries electrical signals between brain cells. It is the communication line that lets thought, memory, and action happen. We named the brand Axon because our music is built to work with those signaling pathways, not just sit in the background.

Yes. Axon is built on published, peer-reviewed research, including MIT Picower work on 40Hz gamma and Lochte et al. fMRI findings from 2018. We map each protocol to real literature. See the sources on our science page.

For the full effect, yes. The binaural spatial layer needs headphones. On speakers, you still get the music layer, but you lose most of the 3D positioning and neural targeting.

Most apps are just mood audio. Axon is engineered around specific neural targets with three stacked layers: music, space, and signal. Not random chill beats. Built protocols.

Axon is not medical advice and not a treatment. It is built from published research and uses frequencies within normal human hearing range.
